Quality now has a standards-based AQL sampling engine, tablet inspection capture on the shop floor, new inspection prints and new quality roles.
New Head of Quality and Inline QC roles
Two new roles and permissions control sampling set-up, table verification, switching decisions and inline checks. The Quality Manager can no longer verify tables or make switching decisions, so those users need the Head of Quality role.
Defect classes are now Critical, Major and Minor
Existing High defects become Major, and Medium and Low become Minor. Inspectors can raise a class by one step with a reason. Only the Quality Manager can lower a class.
New quality screens for sampling and reports
New screens cover Sampling Tables, Sampling Schemes and set-up, Switching Keys and Inspection Reports. The inspection lot page also has a Sampling panel.
AQL sampling plans (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4)
Sample sizes and accept/reject numbers now come from the Z1.4 tables, with normal, tightened and reduced inspection. Nothing is sampled until the Head of Quality verifies a table set. Each lot keeps its plan, and Critical, Major and Minor classes are each judged on the whole sample. Completing an inspection needs the full sample, and going against the verdict needs a reason and the Quality Manager.
Sampling schemes and automatic switching
Sampling schemes are set per customer, supplier or material group, or as a plant default. Buyer-and-style and supplier-and-material combinations move between normal, tightened, reduced, skip and discontinued based on lot results. Every change is logged, and the Head of Quality can set safe launch.
Tablet inspection capture
A new tablet screen at /qm/capture covers the work list, AQL audits, measurement checks by size, and packing and carton audits. Saved entries are never duplicated if a request is repeated, unsaved work stays on the device, and photos are compressed before upload.
Inline checks with Green, Amber and Red rounds
Inline QC can record timed rounds on sewing lines and rate them Green, Amber or Red. Re-checks are supported, and missed rounds are shown in the plant's local time. After three Reds, an NCR is proposed.
New inspection printouts
You can print the Final Inspection Report, Inline Inspection Report, Measurement Report and Packing and Carton Audit Report. Reprinted Final Inspection Reports are marked COPY.
